“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” – Mark 9:23
When our children were young, my husband and I would go to eastern Oregon each year to hunt deer. One year, we rented a travel trailer to stay in while we were camping there, and one of our children accidentally locked the door when he came out of the trailer. The only key to the door was locked inside, and we were all outside! We began to wonder what we were going to do, since all of our food and clothing was in the trailer, not to mention our beds. The thought of sleeping on the ground with no bedding was not pleasant, and the nearest town was miles away.
Someone suggested that we try all of the keys of the other people at the campsite who had travel trailers. We tried key after key, and none of them would open the trailer door. Then, some of us started praying and asking the Lord to help us open the locked door. Not long after that, some more campers returned to the campsite, and we began trying all of their keys. We finally got to the last key on the last possible key ring, and it opened the door of our trailer! What a miracle!
Sometimes a situation seems impossible—like unlocking a door without the right keys. As time ticks on and options run low, we can begin to panic. However, the Lord is always in control, and He is on our side! He wants to help us, if we will just ask. The answer that comes may not be what we are expecting, but it will be the perfect answer in the perfect time. God will meet our needs, and He will do it in a way that brings glory to His Name.
What had looked impossible to us earlier in the day was possible with God. He does wonderful things for those who love Him and trust in Him. Truly, with God all things are possible.
